xbanger has no accounts for players, no ads and no tracking cookies. We never ask for your X password or for access to your X account. Here is exactly what the site reads and keeps.
The X tools
Recap, Account Worth, Thanks Card, Ghost Index, Reply Crush and X Personality all work the same way:
- Public data only. When you type an @handle, your browser fetches that account's recent public posts and replies from FxTwitter, a public service. Profile pictures come from unavatar.io.
- Kept in your browser. The results are cached in your own browser for 10 minutes so the next tool opens faster, and your choices (poster colour, people you hid) are remembered there. Clear your site data to remove them.
- Kept on our side. Account Worth keeps one row per handle with its latest price, so it can say "worth more than 78% of accounts". The other tools only add to daily counters (how many posters were made, saved or posted), with no handles.
Shitpost Gacha
- Your browser gets a random device id, kept in local storage, so your pulls, energy and collection survive a reload.
- We count how often each card is pulled, and store likes and meh votes with that device id.
- If you pull a card nobody has pulled before and sign it, your @handle is shown on that card, publicly and for good. That is the point of the game, so only sign if you want your name on it.
- Invite links store the inviter's and newcomer's device ids and a scrambled (hashed) code made from the IP address and the day, so one network counts once per day.
Everything else
- Abuse limits. To slow down scripts, your IP address is used as the key of a per-day counter.
- Analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without following you across sites.
- Hosting. The site runs on Cloudflare, which processes requests to deliver it.
- Coffee. Tips go through Stripe. We never see your card details.
- Writers' sign-in. Only invited writers can sign in with X. That stores their X id, handle, name and picture and a session cookie. Players never sign in.
Removing your data
Want your @handle removed from a card or from the Account Worth list? Send a DM to @heyclairelin on X and we will remove it. More about the project on the about page.
