On X, relationships are built in the replies. Some go both ways. Some are you replying to someone for weeks while they never answer, and some are the opposite: someone shows up under every post of yours and you have never replied once. Here is how to see both.
Why it is worth checking
Replies take time. Knowing where yours go, and who gives theirs to you, helps you spend that time on conversations that go somewhere, and makes sure you don't overlook the people already in your corner.
The manual way
- Open your profile and the Replies tab. It lists the replies you sent; note whose posts they were under.
- Open your own recent posts and note who replied under them.
- Compare the two lists, person by person, for the same stretch of time.
It works, but it takes a while, and it is easy to compare a month of your replies with a week of theirs.
The quick way: Reply Crush
Reply Crush counts both sides for you over the same days: the replies you sent to each person anywhere on X, and the replies they left under your recent posts. Then it sorts people into three groups:
- You chase them: you replied at least twice, and 3 times more than they replied to you.
- They chase you: the same, the other way around.
- Mutuals: you both replied to each other at least twice.
You also get a reply type from Hopeless Romantic to Main Character, based on how much of the replying you do. Only replies count, because X keeps likes private. No login, nothing saved.
Read it kindly
- It's not a verdict. Big accounts can't answer everyone, and X doesn't show every reply to everyone.
- Look at who chases you. Those are people who already like your posts. Replying back is the easiest win.
- Keep your mutuals close. Two-way conversations are what make X feel small and friendly.
